Discount Tire Brings Formula for Success to Tennessee, Opens First Store in Murfreesboro |

Discount Tire, America's largest independent tire retailer, announced today that it will
establish new operations in the state of Tennessee by opening its first retail store in
Murfreesboro in June. |

Discount Tire will open the Murfreesboro store with a grand opening event on Sat., June 23.
The 5,247-square-foot facility is located at 909 Old Fort Parkway near the intersection of
Old Fort Parkway and New Salem Highway, one mile east of Stones River Mall. During the grand
opening event, the public can receive free tire safety checks and register to win a set of
new tires and other giveaways. Customers also can take advantage of special event pricing
and save up to $100 on a set of four new tires. |

The Murfreesboro store is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
on Saturday. The store is closed on Sunday. |

Discount Tire is famous for its "Little Old Lady" icon, which has been a fixture in the company's
advertising since the 1970's. The company has earned a place in the Guinness Book of World
Records for the longest running TV commercial, featuring the Little Old Lady. The "Thank you"
TV spot shows her throwing a tire through a Discount Tire store window and ends with the line:
"If ever you're not satisfied with one of our tires, please feel free to bring it back. Thank you,
